Bhola was rescued in 2010 from Noida, Uttar Pradesh as a victim of a tragic accident with a truck and was found unconscious fighting for his survival. Bhola's body was covered with wounds on his hip, shoulders and legs, when he was brought to the Wildlife SOS Elephant Conservation and Care Centre. Our team of veterinarians immediately gave him the medical attention that he required, urgently and his healing journey in his forever home, hence, started! Bhola is completely blind in one eye and gradually losing vision in the other, at the age of 54 years old. He is undergoing medicated foot bath for his toenail abscesses and delicate, torn foot pads and likes to take slow-paced walks along the river bank of Yamuna.
