Mohan elephant sketch by WSOS cofounder Kartick. This sketch depicts the way ancient tribal people in central India viewed elephants, as beautiful creatures reflecting the intricate and complex relationships they have with nature and the planet.

Kartick calls his piece “Mohan” after an elephant Wildlife SOS rescued in 2017. Mohan was with us for only a year before succumbing to a lifetime of abuse. His memory lives on and we remember him as a beautiful being.
