2012 Roederer Estate “L’Ermitage” Anderson Valley sparkling wine: Ranked the #5 wine of the year by Wine Spectator. L’Ermitage, Roederer Estate’s special Tête de Cuvée, is a sparkling wine made only in exceptional years from pre-selected, estate-grown grapes. Carrying on the tradition of Champagne Louis Roederer in France, Roederer Estate produces its sparkling wines in the traditional French méthode traditionelle. This nicely mature wine has a broad range of complex aromas and flavors, from fig to mushroom to butter and baking spices that ride a supple texture and linger for a long finish. The very fine bead, plush texture and a creamy richness that verges on sweetness are practically irresistible. Best through 2025. 97-points Wine Enthusiast, 95-points Wine Spectator.

2016 Ramey Chardonnay Rochioli Vineyard: Single-vineyard Chardonnay from legendary California winemaker David Ramey. This is the second vintage of a Rochioli vineyard-designate Chardonnay made by Ramey. Grapes were sourced from vines planted between 1989 and 2005 and then aged in 21% new French oak for 20 months. The nose of the 2016 Chardonnay Rochioli Vineyard opens with Meyer lemon, pulverized stone, lime peel and soft white flowers with touches of nuts and cream. Medium to full-bodied, it offers wonderful savory flavor layers of honeycomb and hazelnut with a gorgeous velvety texture and great length plus lots of mineral sparks coming through on the finish. 98-points Wine Enthusiast, 94-points Wine Spectator, 94-points Robert Parker.

2016 Williams Selyem Chardonnay Drake Estate Vineyard: Single-vineyard Chardonnay from Sonoma producer Williams Selyem. This wine has a beautiful nose of Meyer lemon, yellow apple, and spiced pear. Underneath the fruit elements are notes of citrus and fresh melon. The oak is so seamless that it adds a depth without crossing the line. The freshness on the palate is striking with flavors of lemon and spiced pear that transitions into minerals in the middle palate. A hint of quinine on the finish beautifully punctuates this elegant offering. Drink now or through 2026. 91-points Wine Enthusiast.

2016 Opus One: Iconic Bordeaux blend from Napa. The 2016 Opus One is brilliant and shows yet again that 2016 was a magical vintage for Napa Valley. Based largely on Cabernet Sauvignon mixed with 8% each of Petit Verdot and Merlot, with 5% Cabernet Franc and a splash of Malbec, its deep purple hue is followed by a beautiful bouquet of black cherries, crème de cassis, and blueberry fruit intermixed with notions of cedary spice, toasty oak, graphite, and flowers. With an almost Bordeaux-like class and structure, this full-bodied beauty has no hard edges, plenty of ripe tannins, and is extraordinarily pure, elegant, and long. 99-points James Suckling, 98-points Robert Parker.

2016 Williams Selyem Rochioli Riverblock Pinot Noir: Single-vineyard pinot from Sonoma producer Williams Selyem. The Rochioli Riverblock Vineyard is situated on the bank of the Russian River where the soil is deep and loamy with river gravel scattered throughout. These are ideal growing conditions for Pinot Noir. The depth of the soil allows for the plants to ripen slowly and develop incredible flavor. Always intriguing on the nose, the dark red and black fruit aromas mix with dried herbs and hints of fennel. Soil-rich tones add a bass note to the incredibly complex nose. Deeply pitched fruit flavors in the mouth are layered with extremely refined tannin. The seamless acidity allows the tannin to shine and offers an unctuous texture without heaviness. 94-points Wine Enthusiast.

2011 Far Niente Dolce: Sauternes style dessert wine from Napa producer Far Niente. A combination of late harvest Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc from a 20-acre estate vineyard in the temperate town of Coombsville. The luxurious Sauternes style is completed by 32 months in new French oak before bottling. The 2011 Dolce presents butterscotch and citrus fruit aromas enriched with toasted caramel crème brûlée and vanilla. As promised by the orange and citrus blossom aromas, similarly driven flavors mingled with honeysuckle and butterscotch are foremost on the palate. The wine will pair well with foie gras, poached figs, blue or washed-rind cheeses, or non-chocolate desserts like creme brulee.
