Description
Mint condition tambourine from Prince and the Revolution's Purple Rain Tour, which ran from November 1984 through April 1985, still in its original packaging. Includes letter of authenticity from Sound Engineer Robert "Cubby" Colby, who worked with Prince from 1980 through 1988 as a monitor mixer and front-of-house engineer on tour and audio tech/music mixer at Paisley Park Studios. The tambourine is a great memento of Prince the artist, and the Purple Rain Tour as a whole, as many were used on stage and given to audience members.
Excerpt from Letter of Authenticity dated May 20, 2019:
"This letter is to authenticate a dark purple, double-row, open-head tambourine, bearing a printed "Love God" label in the style of Prince's handwriting, circa 1984-85, from Prince and the Revolution's Purple Rain Tour, in its original packaging." Sound Engineer Robert "Cubby" Colby
This is an increasingly rare opportunity to acquire a mint-condition piece from the history of one of our generation's most influential artists.
Photo of Prince with Robert Colby included.
