Description
Shakespeare could be considered the original rap or hip hop artist. His verse lines contain an internal beat or *rhythm* and a regular rhythmic pattern. The rhythmic pattern (or form of poetry) that Shakespeare used most frequently is called iambic pentameter. Whether you are a seasoned actor looking to brush up old pieces/work on new ones or an absolute beginner/student preparing to apply to performing arts programs, I will provide you with a set of tools to access that rhythm and make Shakespeare's heightened language accessible. Your work will spring from page to stage and you will be prepared to enter any audition room with a strong contrasting/classical monologue.
