Description

The Henderson/Nor'wester History Committee has been working to collect the 16mm camp movies that represent our past. These films have been transferred to DVD so that our camp community can enjoy them once again. Having the films transferred professionally proved to be too great an expense, but we believe we have achieved a reasonable quality. These films are decades old, so expect to see scratches and glitches. In some cases, the prints themselves had exposure and focus issues. The test audiences we have shown them to seem pleased with the results. Remember, just like the originals, these films are SILENT. You'll have to break out your songbook or provide your own narration to your kids and grandkids.

Each available year comes on a separate DVD. If you just want the movie from one year, purchase one DVD. If you want four years of movies, purchase this item four times. After the auction, an administrator will contact you to find out which year(s) you want.

Available DVDs (each year is on a single DVD):

Helsell Years: 1968-1979 (all years available)

There were some issues with labels on the reels, but we think, to the best of our knowledge, they represent the year they are listed.

Formo Years: 1980-1989 (all years available)

Henriksen-Campbell Years: 1990, 1991, 1994, 2000 (copy from VHS), 2003-2011*

Tallmon-Steigerwald Years: 2012-2019*

*Note: Camp movies from 2010 through 2019 are available online for public viewing on Camp Nor'wester's YouTube channel. However, we can still make a copy of the movie for you if you would like to have your own DVD.
