Private tour of Brooklyn Grange's rooftop farm at the Navy Yard. Brooklyn Grange is the worlds largest soil based rooftop farm, growing over 80,000 pounds of organically grown vegetables a year. This tour will be specifically for families, led by our educational nonprofit sister organization City Growers. Learn about our methods, taste some produce, and and hear why rooftop farming is ideal in our City. Beyond the tour, get to take pictures holding a chicken (choose from Chickie Minaj, Birdie Sanders or Fluffy), taste rooftop honey from our hives, and go home with some hot sauce and other swag from the farm!
