The winner of this item will receive a guided visit to the Newberry Library, the world-famous public research library in the Gold Coast neighborhood for themselves and up to three guests. The itinerary for the visit will be arranged according to your interests, but activities may include: a personal tour of the Newberry’s spring exhibition, “Renaissance Invention: Stradanus’s Nova Reperta,” a look behind the scenes of the library; a hands-on session with several treasures from the Newberry’s collection of manuscripts, maps, documents, and artifacts; and a staff discount in the Newberry Bookstore. The date and time is flexible, although the visit must take place during normal Newberry business hours.
