You and a guest will join Mr. Andre Vasquez, Alderman of the 40th Ward, at a City Council Meeting at City Hall. Attendees will also have an opportunity to have their picture taken with the Alderman. 

Alderman Vasquez is a former battle rapper who took office in 2019 after a hard-fought runoff election. He is a member of City Council's Progressive and Latino Caucuses and is the Vice-Chair of the Committee on Special Events, Cultural Affairs and Recreation.

Alderman Vasquez has committed to more closely involve 40th ward residents in key decisions and supports a number of progressive initiatives such as a financial transactions tax, a real estate transfer tax, and a progressive income tax.
