Brooklyn Children's Theatre is a musical theatre program for children in 1st-12th grades. We offer performance driven classes where children are cast in and rehearse a musical play. Not only do children learn skills in acting, singing, and writing; but they also learn life lessons such as risk-taking, teamwork, and accountability. Over the course of a session, we see children become more confident, try new things, make huge leaps in the development of their talents, and best of all, build a strong community of friendships. The end of session performance gives the children a chance to perform for their community. They invite teachers, classmates, loved ones, and friends. The electricity in the air from their live show stays with them for months to come and makes them feel special in a way that only theatre can.
