At Working Bikes, you will get a personal tour of the warehouse, prep a bike for international shipment (take pedals off/twist handle bars), talk to and see a bike mechanic at work, and pick up your very own 1972 Schwinn Typhoon, built right here in Chicago! The former Schwinn factory was located a short 3 miles from Brentano at 1856 N. Kostner and supplied Chicago and the country with bikes until 1975. This bike for kids has been fixed up and fine-tuned by an expert Working Bikes mechanic.
