Donated by Back of Beyond Books, a little independent bookstore with a big selection of books in Moab, Utah. The name of the store was drawn from one of Edward Abbey's most well-known books, The Monkey Wrench Gang. His character Seldom Seen Smith was an outfitter, and the name of his company--and hideout--was "Back of Beyond." Back of Beyond Books specializes in natural history, environmental literature, southwestern guidebooks & maps, Native American books, and Western history. They also carry a wild assortment of science, philosophy, current affairs, rare books, and generally other cool stuff you won't find elsewhere.

Planning to tour Moab and you want a guidebook written by a local author? Back of Beyond has lots to choose from. Looking for a mystery set in the Southwest? No problem.  If their online store doesn't have what you're looking for and you won't be in the Moab area for a while, drop Andy and his team a line and they will ship your book the same day, if it's available.
