Description

A Once in a Lifetime Event! The home and collection of Fleur Bresler is simply breathtaking. Savor this unique opportunity to see world-famous artworks in a private and intimate home collection with up to 10 guests. You'll be joined by Fleur and her son Ed, and enjoy champagne and light fare as you view the museum-quality artworks in wood, fiber, ceramic, metal and glass. Highlights include a table that fills the dining room for private family gatherings and works by artists Nick Cave, Wendle Castle, Albert Paley, Jennifer Trask, Michael Sherrill and so many more. Located on a top-floor condo, the space was doubled in size to include a separate wing to display the vast, awe-inspiring collection.

Fleur Bresler is a collector and patron of the arts who received an Aileen Osborn Webb Award for Philanthropy from the American Craft Council in 2014 and a One-Of-A-Kind award from the James Renwick Alliance in 2012. In 2011, she endowed a position, the Fleur and Charles Bresler Curator of American Craft and Decorative Art, at the Smithsonian's Renwick Gallery. Fleur and her late husband, Charles, are well-known for their donation of a 66-piece turned and carved wood collection to the Smithsonian American Art Museum in 2010 and their gift of 36 American Quilts to the Mint Museum in Charlotte, NC in 2001 which has toured nationally. Numerous pieces from her collection are routinely provided to museums for exhibitions and tours, either on loan or as a gift.
