Hillcrest Golf Club at Sun City West has been host to several Senior PGA and LPGA events due to its versatile, challenging layout. There are plenty of challenges for even the most skilled players including doglegs, water hazards, and sand bunkers, but the generous fairways and absence of blind shots make it approachable for all skill levels. The golf course has a traditional layout that stretches over a flat, wooded landscape. The greens are severely sloped, making them difficult to read and the fairways are lined with trees. Hillcrest Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 13th, which features a dogleg around a lake. This 536-yard hole also requires an uphill approach shot to a green that is surrounded by eight bunkers.
