WWI Brass Waltham Compass

This is a World War I era compass made by the Waltham Watch Company. The brass hunter's case is marked "U.S." on the top. The engine turning still has a nice sheen, and only a little surface wear on front. The back has some light wear around the edges. The cover snaps tightly and releases cleanly. The dial is a metallic silver white, and is very clean with no spotting as is typically seen. The needle ad the markings are black. Best of all, this compass appears to function fairly accurately. The case is approximately 1 3/4 inches in diameter.
