Description
Wiiliams Barn was orginally erected in 1840. By the late 1990’s, the barn was nearly forgotten, in near collapse and covered in vegetation. A number of thoughtful, hardworking volunteers in town including three generations of Williams (Wyatt’s) helped save the Barn. Today the town uses the barn and its grounds to host a farmers market and provide an enriching historical experience and local entertainment. The late Bayard Underwood, noted architect and Groton resident, sketched the image for this print prior to the renovations. Mr. Underwood was a member of the renovations committee.
Details: Original Pen & Ink Drawing by Bayard Underwood, shrink wrapped against foam core. 24" W x 18.5 H.
