One day holiday or summer lab at Brooklyn Game Lab
With locations in DUMBO, TriBeCa, and Park Slope, Brooklyn Game Lab unplugs your kids (ages 6 - 13) for awesome game play and so much more!
Kids play chess, quick play, cooperative, and strategy games. They create new games and modify existing games. They analyze game structure, tinker with rules, create tactics, and collaborate with new friends. They play indoors -- and out!
Experienced, creative staff lead game play and analysis, and guide kids in group presentations and design sessions.
Kids receive merits as their design, problem solving, and diplomacy skills develop, and earn their way onto one of our Lab-original, mega-game, Immortal Wars’ clans.
This gift certificate is good for one (1) day of holiday or summer lab at either our TriBeCa or DUMBO location. Our holiday/summer labs run from 9AM to 3PM. The certificate also includes early drop off (8AM to 850AM) and extended day (3PM to 6PM) if needed. Don’t forget to add those items to the cart at checkout!

Here at the Lab, kids work collaboratively, think critically, and develop who they are as individuals and as a group member.
They embrace the struggle for mastery over complexity and gain self-confidence. They celebrate their own successes as well as others achievement.
We encourage kids growth mindset by choosing smart, challenging board, card, and role-playing games. The games foster exploration and expansion of knowledge and skills, while friendships develop between like-minded kids.

Our kids also design, prototype, and test games and game modifications.
They work in small groups to come up with new rules, new characters, and other items that can transform a game into a more exciting, unusual, or competitive experience.
Ideas are presented and debated, votes are cast, and some are incorporated into game play for the entire Lab.
REFLECT ON THEIR JOURNEY
Kids receive positive reinforcement during and at the conclusion of every session. Our merit system rewards kids accomplishments and contributions.
Weve created a thoughtful and meaningful system, one that encourages focused effort in intra- and inter-personal skill development.
When kids reach Level 7 thru merit-earning, they join one of our five Immortal clans and compete on the largest youth board game on the planet.
