The Stardust runs 1/2 day trips Monday-Wednesday and the Coral Sea will be 1/2 day Thursday-Sunday. (Unless there are private charters) We fish along the Santa Barbara Coast, and there will never be more than 40 people on the Stardust, 30 on the Coral Sea! The 1/2 day fishing is very unique because most fishing spots are so close 10-30 minutes away, so most of our time is spent fishing.

These trips are designed for light tackle fishing, like bass gear or spinning gear. It is always recommended to bring a heavier setup as well. We target barracuda, bass, bonito, rockfish, ling cod, sheephead, ocean whitefish, halibut and even white sea bass (depending on the time of year). These 1/2 day trips are normally very productive.

Jason Diamond started Stardust Sportfishing in 1995. With the help of a good friend, he bought the Stardust and brought it to the Sea Landing in Santa Barbara, CA.  In 2015 Jason and his wife Jaime bought the Coral Sea and brought it to Santa Barbara in order to offer our customers 1/2 & 3/4 day trips seven days a week. We are now able to offer limited load trips on the Coral Sea!
