- Adult size medium Emperor Norton tee
- Emperor Norton is among the most unique and celebrated characters of San Francisco's early history. A failed gold rush-era businessman fallen into madness, he was nonetheless adopted by the press to become a beloved civic mascot and the city's first genuine tourist attraction. Referring to himself as Emperor of the United States and Protector of Mexico, Norton issued several decrees, both surprising and inspiring, including the abolition of the nickname "Frisco." Wildly, he created his own currency and people actually used it in the community. Lastly, he’s noted as the visionary of The Bay Bridge that is now connected to Oakland and the East Bay. The acceptance and celebration of his existence is a touching early example of San Francisco's legacy of eccentricity and whimsy".
