Description
Resilience is a limited edition photograph. Archival Gelatin Print (archival silver gelatin print on Ilford paper) 11" x 14", signed and numbered recto, total dimensions 15" x 18" matted and framed from photographer, Marianne Campolongo.
Marianne Campolongo has been hooked on photography since age six when her grandmother passed on her well-traveled Kodak Brownie camera as well as her wanderlust. A travel, editorial and fine art photographer by profession, her images seek to shine a light on the reality around her and to evoke an emotional response.
Her work has been shown in galleries throughout the tristate area, including various shows at ArtsWestchester as well as at the Museum of the City of New York. Her photographs hang in the collections of private, institutional and corporate collectors. They have been published in Smithsonian, Coastal Living, The Guardian, and dozens of other periodicals, websites, and books worldwide.
Resilience, one of her newest works, was conceived as a response to the many struggles we face right now, fights against oppression and the coronavirus, and for justice, racial equity, and democracy. It is a symbol of hope that we will succeed in every one of these endeavors.
