Description
Does making homemade bread appeal to you but you just don’t feel confident?
Here’s a class for you! Tony Perona will take you through everything you need to know about baking basic breads. In class, you’ll learn how to make delicious white bread and oatmeal bread. You’ll do everything from mixing and kneading to baking under Tony’s instruction. Ingredients and lunch will be provided for you and a friend.
You’ll go home with the breads you baked in class, the recipes and knowledge to re-create them at home, and maybe even the confidence to tackle bigger baking projects! Plus, we’ll do some sampling.
Tony is an avid home baker. He was a stay-at-home dad for nearly twenty years and during that time baked countless loaves of bread, muffins, and biscuits. In the past five years he and his wife Debbie have been taking baking classes from Zingerman’s Bakehouse in Ann Arbor, and he is ready to share that knowledge and experience with you.
Plan on this being a four to five hour class. Class will be held in the kitchen at the Plainfield United Methodist Church based upon availability and scheduled at a mutually convenient time for the auction winner.
Redeem before March 31, 2021.
