Charming, Fanciful Paper Collage "Family Pretelet" with handmade frame by Woody Biggs

Artist Woody Biggs, or Monsieur Papier (as he is referred to by his French colleagues), has been collecting ephemera for decades to be used to create prints and art that can be incorporated into most any interior space. His latest body of work is all about the birds!

"Family Pretelet" is collaged with vintage paper and the corrugated cardboard frame is done by the artist himself.

Artist's statement: "I grew up in the South. My neighbor, in an old southern tradition, raised a parade of peacocks. They made her grounds and the land about my own home their personal arena to strut and show. As a child my affinity was with these glorious birds and their little brown peahens. I would always help with the birds' care and feeding. Birds have always been a big part of my life.

My present studio is a renovated Bird coup just outside Sonoma, California. With my studio as an inspiration I found my focus on birds."
