Join us for a tasting of some of Japan's finest whisky. We'll provide some samplers and we can do the tasting virtually from the comfort of your own home! 

Japanese whisky is a style of whisky very similar to Scotch whiskey and although has been around for 150 years, has only grown in popularity over the past few years ever since winning top honors in many international whisky competitions.

What's Included: 
- 1 hour 15 minutes of a private virtual tasting/experience
- A selection of 5 Japanese whiskies to taste - bottled into individual 7.5ml (~2.5oz) pours
- Whisky samplers may be picked up from TSS the week of the event
- Japanese snacks to accompany the tasting

Format for the tasting experience: 
- History and background of Japanese whisky
- Basics of Japanese whisky and how it's made, focusing on the unique qualities of Japanese whisky
- How to discuss and express the taste and smell of whisky
- Tips on how to enjoy whisky

Hosted by Kenji & Matthew:
Kenji is a tour operator in Japan and loves to travel, eat, and has loved drinking whisky for as long as he can remember. Matt loves to explore and drink whisky and worked with Kenji to pick out the bottles for this tasting. You will leave this tasting knowing more about whisky and a new friend that can take you around Kyoto when Covid is over.
