Does your child love to sing and listen to music? This auction item is for a 6 week music and voice session with classically trained music teacher, Hua Yang. The cohort size for this class will be 6 children and will not change for the duration for the class. 

The class will cover reciting popular Children's stories and poems to get to know the children's comfort level. Hua will teach some basics around using vocals and compose music to these songs for the children. Your children will develop
listening skills, concentration, and equip children with basic skills for self-expression and encourage creativity.

The classes will be conducted in Mandarin for 40 minutes once a week. Hua finds the most success when children are at least 5 years old or have a strong interest in music and voice lessons. Siblings are welcome to join. 

Class Size: The class will not exceed 6 children. 

Class location: It will be taught outdoors (TBD) and children will be required to socially distance and keep their masks on.

Class Dates: The class will take place on Saturday morning at 10 or 11am. Depending on the children that enroll, the class may also be offered outdoors during the week. 

About Hua

Hua is a member of China Musician Association GuZheng Committee; also a member of China Nationalities Orchestra Society and Guang-Dong Province Musician Association. She started learning GuZheng by famous master Li, Sai Jun since she was eight years old. She graduated from South-China Normal University and majored in Music. In the past years, she received numerous competitions awards in China and was invited to perform in many different countries and states. In 2000, she held her GuZheng solo concert and vocal concert in Canton,China. She also has ample experience in teaching music. In the year of 2005 to 2007, she continues received recognition of being an outstanding instructor from China Flok Music Orchestra Society Examination Board. She was previous the GuZheng soloist by Guang-Dong National ensemble of Songs and Dances. Now, Ms.Yang is the instructor and soloist at the California Youth Chinese Symphony.
