Now entering its 25th season, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company's Shakespeare on the Common has become an annual Boston tradition, modeled along the lines of “Shakespeare in the Park” in Central Park and the many other free outdoor summer Shakespeare events throughout the country. This summer they present the bard's final play The Tempest, which transports the audience to a mysterious and enchanting island inhabited by a host of colorful characters.
