Description

These exquisite mugs are hand painted by Japenese artists and depict different birds in flowering trees. They are new, purchased in Japan, and have the maker's stamp in Japanese on the bottom of each cup. Each mugwas made by a local potter from Gifu prefecture in Japan, a region really famous for pottery. Although these are beautiful display items, they are Japanese stoneware which holds heat and is microwavable. One has a Japanese design around the bottom of fans, and at the top several bamboo serving plates. The other has painted flowers inside the rim of the cup. Both are painted on both sides of the cup.

They are grey in color with brown colored handles. The colors on the paintings are white, brown, dark orange and green.

Please see individual images offered of each cup.
