Each year the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Foundation issues a Commemorative Souvenir Envelope honoring the great musicians that have participated in the Jazz Fest over the years.
In 2012 they issured a postal enveleope, which is a collector's item, honoring Kermit Ruffins, a well known and liked New Orleans musician. HIs name is also on the poster, as listed below.
This historical poster memoralizes a time and a place in history, where the most well known New Orleans musicians came together at Generaltions Hall on May 1, 2012 to perform a benefit for the exlection of Barack Obama. The benefit raised over $50,000 for the campaign, and the memory of these New Orleans icons performing together will last forever. The featured performers who are listed on the poster are:
