Expires 2023.

Upon graduatiing with a BA in business from Duquesne University, Louis Angelo immediately enrolled in a night beuaty school program in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He moved to New York City where he earned the position of first hair assistant to the iconic Garren of the Garren New York Salon. This experience provided him with a unique opportunity to study both the business and aritistic sides of the industry, providing a foundation upon which to launch his own career as a freelance hairstylist. Since then, he has worked with many respected photographers, including Steven Meisel, Steven Klein, Patrick Demarchelier, Irving Penn, Peter Lindberg, Tom Munro and Terry Tsiolis on editorial and cover shoots for American Vogue, Vogue Italia, Vogue Deutsch, Harper’s Bazaar, W, Allure, among others. Louis finds inspiration in countless aspects of everyday life, from music, film, architecture to western and ancient civiliaztions and global culture. Stimulus isn’t limited to sight alone, but also scent, sound, touch and taste. More than anything, he responds to the energy of a given subject. From these varied and ever-changing sources of inspiration, he has evolved a style based on a classic foundation, with elements of street fashion and pop culture combined to create a wholly modern aesthetic. Louis demonstrates the extraordinary ability to transform the hair of his subject(s) on the spot, altering the style and context spectacularly - from grunge goddess to Park Avenue Princess. In addition to his work as a freelance artist, he maintains a position as Hair Designer at the Julien Farel Restore Salon and Spa. He takes great pride and much satisfaction from all aspects of his career, and considers himself fortunate to be able to work professionally doing something he enjoys deeply.
