This vase was turned by Peter Lawry and cut out of Birch Tree growing in Weathersfield, VT. The tree had to be cut down because it was dying. Spalted wood is caused by fungi and is sought after by woodworkers due to its unique coloration and patterns. You will notice thin black lines throughout this vase! The vase comes with a glass insert.
