The Artist, Boma,wanted to paint a dove with regards to its symbolic meaning in the bible. The bird is first mentioned in the story of Noah where it was sent out to see if the land had dried up after the flood. A few were sent and one eventually returned with a leaf in its beak showing that the water had subsided and spring had arrived. And I think this really ties into the concept of hope, because when the bird arrived it reassured the occupants of the ark that the water was drying up and the earth was about to become habitable again.

Naturally doves are white in colour, but when white light is split it contains every other colour. So she decided to paint the bird in the multicolour to highlight the different hues that produce what we see and appreciate.
