The Left side of the Set is Called Sundance and depicts a 'Fancy Shawl' or 'Butterfly' Dancer (the Counterpart to the Men's Fancy 'Grass dance'.) She dances to bring Healing and Welcome the Sun. In this Picture the Woman Dances on the Country side that is Clean and Pollution-free with Budding trees. Sundance represents Positivity, Uplifting Energies and Freedom.
The Right side of the Set is called Warpath and depicts a Warrior's 'Grass' Dance. He dances on the Country side that is Polluted and Sick, he Dances to release his Frustrations and Express his hurt and Sympathy for the Earth's Suffering.
They are both wearing the Colors of the Medicine Wheel as to remain neutral and also to be respectful to Indigenous people who have been assigned personal colors for Traditional Regalia.
The artist, Burdenkeeper, is a 31 year old Female Artist born in Thompson and Raised in Wabowden Manitoba. Her Art can be Found Online at Project Burdenkeeper on Facebook, or through Upbeat Artworks in the Portage Place Skywalk in Winnipeg Manitoba.
