Tim Froese lifelong artist, primarily self-taught, who has a long and proud connection with Winnipeg's Gallery Lacosse. Many of his cartoon cats have found new homes through that establishment.

He has moved into a new phase that sees me working principally with acrylics and canvas, human portraits the focus. Some of his work has been chosen for recent Manitoba Society of Artists annual juried exhibitions and he has enjoyed three solo shows at Lacosse for his kookie kitties. A trio of cats were the crowning touch of his 2016 show. "This threesome was my first political statement, a ceramic political cartoon, if you like, honouring the women calling themselves The Pussy Riot, women who brave the power mongering Putin in Russia. Overall, the tone of my work is bright and celebratory." he says.

Tim has a personal connetion to Lighthouse MIssion through his nephew, Donald, our Spiritual Care Coordinator. It was not too many years ago Donald visited as an inmate the library that Tim ran in our local penitentiary. Look at him now!! Tim is so relieved and happy for his nephew's personal recovery and, although he no longer associates with any Christian faith group or system, he knows Donald represents a miracle that only Love could make possible.
