16" x 20" Watercolour, matted and framed

Manitoba artist Ruth Partridge has been painting for over 30 years. Her favourite medium is watercolour due to the fluidity and transparent effects she is able to achieve as she attempts to capture the beauty and mystery of her surroundings. Ruth particularly loves to paint landscape scenes that tell a story plus the flowers in her garden inspire her to capture their beauty in paint. The impressionists and American artists, Edward Hopper and Childe Hassam are her inspiration.

 She has studied with Manitoba artists Eileen Korpony and John Gaudes, Canadian artists, Susan Woolgar, Grant Fuller, Jean Pederson and Linda Kemp and American watercolourist Tom Lynch. Ruth is a member of the Charleswood Art Group. Her work has been displayed over the years at a number of Winnipeg locations and art shows and is enjoyed in corporations and homes throughout Canada and the United States.
