Originally this was called swinging through storms. Storms come and go but sometimes leave a lot of damage behind. Artist Jean GGiffen, painted this thinking of children and women who have been sexually abused, gone missing or murdered. "All I know is love heals."

About the Artist - JScape Art

My name is Jean and I love art. My art journey began after finding myself on disability from a spinal condition and back injury from a vehicle accident. When I began my first ever painting on canvas, I sat to paint cheerful flowers but my brush and emotions took over and painted a girl walking in the rain instead. I discovered right away that art was a great medium for expressing emotion and very therapeutic. Playing with paint which started as a hobby has turned into a passion, adding colour, joy and meaning to my life.

I mostly enjoy art that is inspired by nature and I like to create land, water and sky scapes. Also, I was diagnosed with PTSD and depression over 20 years ago from years of childhood and domestic abuse. For that reason I do like to use my art as a way to advocate for mental health awareness and hopefully help others know they are not alone (as I once felt extremely alone and ashamed after being diagnosed with PTSD) and that it is ok to not be ok and ask for help.
