Description

This year, the students in Ms. Glasser’s 3rd grade class have been learning all about the continents and countries in our world.  Building on this around-the-world theme, the students have re-created two popular games from Mexico and ancient Egypt.

Loteria Game

Loteria is the Spanish word for lottery. It is a traditional Mexican game of chance, similar to bingo, but uses images from a deck of cards instead of numbered ping pong balls.  The winner is the first player to shout “loteria” after completing a tabla or a previously agreed pattern (row, column or diagonal) on their board.  This game set contains: a deck of 54 cards that depict either photos of the students/teachers or “fun facts” about them and 20 boards, each with a different grid of 16 photos and fun facts.  Don’t miss the opportunity to own this game, which commemorates the members of 3-Glasser, 2019-2020.  See their beautiful, smiling faces and learn what makes each individual unique – their family background, favorite international dish, favorite book, favorite game, famous person they most admire and the one country they would most like to visit.
