Has that sense of nourishment, savouriness, turned earth on pleasing sour cherries, touch of pomegranate, suggestion of game meat. Lightly chewy tannins do a good deal, so does the length and the amaro-kissed acidity is a charm. This has a beautiful mellowness and understatement but delivers so much going on.

Anther excellent vintage, it was a huge season with too much happening all at once.. so many good things. The breakdown of this is all Coghills Creek Pinot Noir the vineyards are all walking distance to one another: my uncles vineyard Mount Coghill farmed by us 60%, Walsh Block farmed by our neighbours Frank & Kerry Walsh 40% & for good measure Eastern Peake 10%. All parcels are kept seperate, different methods of zero bunch to 25% whole bunch, 12 months in barriques, racked settled for 6 months then bottled.
