The 2019 release of the George T Stagg straight bourbon whiskey that forms part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection.

A hugely sought after whiskey with very limited Australian allocation, the 2019 release is made up of barrels aged for more than 15 years and 3 months and bottled at 116.9 proof - 58.45%.

Buffalo Trace tasting notes:

Nose: Caramel, cherries with a hint of minth.

Palate: Vanilla and toasted oak with a floral undertone.

Finish: Long finish of cherries, coffee and black pepper.

This Fall 2019 release comes from Spring 2004 distillations of Kentucky corn, Minnesota rye and North Dakota malted barley.

Distillation Notes:

Distillation: Double distilled; beer still and doubler.
Proof off still: 135 proof.
Barrel: New, white oak; #4 char; charred for 55 seconds.
Barrel Maker: Independent Stave; Lebanon, KY.
Barrel Entry Proof: 125 proof.
Barrel Size: 53 liquid gallons; 66.25 original proof gallons.
Warehouse: Warehouses C, H, K, Q and I.
Floor: 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Evaporation loss: 56% of the original whiskey lost to evaporation.
