Artist Statement: STEVEN WALKER

I have always used art as an outlet for dealing with the pain and mental challenges that I have faced. Ever since I was a little boy I remember drawing as a way of escape at school and at home. Over the years I worked in many different mediums of art, but it wasn't until a year ago that I stumbled upon my favorite art form, Acrylic Art. Some call it fluid art, but to me, it became a simple but abstract way to express the many emotions that I could never articulate with words. Every piece of my art is a part of me. I put my heart and soul into creating the expressions of my heart, feelings, and emotions. My hope is that you will see in my art something that resonates with something inside of you. I hope it brings you as much peace and joy that it has brought me.
