One Hour Guitar Performance by Gary Margason

My name is Gary Margason. I play, sing, write and record music. My setup can change from a stripped down setup of just an acoustic guitar and a microphone to a one-man-band with a loop station to actually playing with a full band. Whatever your needs may be, we can make the right fit. I write songs and perform them, but most venues want covers. I play a lot of alternative rock and pop rock (i.e. Third Eye Blind, Blink 182, Goo Goo Dolls, Coldplay, Switchfoot, Train, Eve 6, Snow Patrol, John Mayer, Oasis, etc).  

Performing solo better caters to the venues that prefer a more acoustic sound.  Even though the solo music is more acoustic driven, there is a lot going on. When I perform solo, it's a one man band deal.  I practice the art of "live looping." Looping is when you build songs that one man playing an instrument would not typically be able to achieve by recording on the spot different melodic and percussive riffs that stack on each other.  It's not your typical solo performance.
