Thunder escaped his home accidentally and as we all know when cats are outside our homes they face many grave dangers - unfortunately, Thunder fractured his leg and it’s not known how. Thunder's family spent all they had, brought him to the vet and got him evaluated. The vet determined that Thunder needed an expensive surgery ($1200-1500) to place pins in his leg. Thunder's family could not afford this and could not foresee being in a position to pay it back. Thunder's mom reached out to Feline Assistance Resources & Support (FARS) for veterinary assistance and MRFRS was able to cover the cost of Thunder’s surgery so this family could stay intact. Here's what his mom had to say as he was recovering:
