This is a model of a 1978 Corvette Sport Coupe L-82 finished in silver. To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Corvette production, 15,283 of the 46,776 full-size Corvettes built in 1978 were finished in "Silver Anniversary". The car was the first Corvette Indy Pace Car and featured a fast back rear window of glass, not seen since the 1967 Corvette, and a new interior.

This Franklin Mint model has a two-tone finish, with the top half in metallic silver and the bottom half in metallic charcoal silver with dual charcoal metallic pinstripes. The bonnet features the engine code "L-82" in red and silver, referring to the L-82, 350 cu. in., V8 engine.
