Raku Pottery Vase

Item Number: 290
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
Raku Pottery vase made by Randy Snyder of Rohnert Park. It is approximately 12 inches high by 4 inches in diameter. It has no chips or cracks. It is dated 2013. The vase is sealed and can be used for flowers or candles, and should be placed on a coaster and kept out of direct sunlight if possible.
Each piece of Randy Snyder Raku pottery is wheel thrown or hand formed and fired in the RAKU technique, developed in 16th century Japan. This technique blackens the clay and gives glazes iridescence or crackle patterns. The piece is unique. Freely translated, RAKU means enjoyment, contentment, pleasure and happiness.
