Sprinkles Cupcakes opened in 2005 in Beverly Hills as the world's first cupcake-only bakery and has since grown to 23 bakeries located from coast-to-coast. This bakery is famous--in part because it has been endorsed by lots of celebrities--including Oprah Winfrey and Barbra Streisand, among others. They have multiple locations--including Beverly Hills, The Grove, and downtown Los Angeles.
