Alfred Uhry’s beloved play Driving Miss Daisy first appeared Off-Broadway in 1987 and earned him a Pulitzer Prize for Drama a year later. Since the play’s debut, Driving Miss Daisy has been performed thousands of times on stages around the world and was turned into an Academy Award-winning film. In 2013, Miss Daisy was driven around Australia in a touring production that starred Tony Award winners Angela Lansbury, James Earl Jones and Boyd Gaines. Both gentlemen also starred in the 2010 Broadway revival.
