Two hour walking tour. Downtown Archaeology Walking Tour with local historian, archaeologist and Presidio Board member, Homer Thiel

Homer Thiel was the archaeologist in charge of the excavation of the original Presidio site on which the Presidio Museum now stands.  He has also managed the excavation of many other downtown sites including early cemetaries, the Historic Pima County Court House and many others.

Join Homer for a walk back in time!  Visit sites of former buildings.  Learn about what has been recovered from the ground and what it tells us about Tucsonans of the past.  Homer will bring items that were discovered and share stories about the people and events of the past.
