How do I best prepare?
A few days before, gather everything you plan to bring. If you must cut your child’s hair, do so a week or two before the StoryBook Session. If possible, plan your session during a time that corresponds with your smallest child’s ‘best time.’ When you arrive, take a deep calming breath and trust us. We’ve been doing this a long time and we know what we’re doing. Our goal is to not only give you amazing artwork but a great experience. Just sit back and watch the magic unfold.

What is a StoryBook Studio Experience?
A truly exciting experience where you’ll get to see your child in a magical Limited Edition portrait set. Studio Admin Office Hours 10a-2p Mon-Friday.

What should my child wear?
We recommend timeless clothing that doesn’t ‘date’ the portraits. Lighter colors will help separate your child from the background.

How long is a StoryBook Experience?
Our Portrait Experiences are booked back to back all day long and we have allowed 90 minutes for your family to include your portrait experience and ordering. We have reserved time with our team for you and your family to enjoy your Experience and choose your favorite storybook portraits from your session. Please arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to your portrait experience, dressed and ready for your visit. Your portrait experience will be immediately followed by your ordering session where you will place your memorable keepsake order. No waiting!

What kind of Artwork will be offered at the StoryBook Experience?
From our Signature StoryBooks, Canvas Wall Art, and Gift Portrait Art Pieces, we have something for everyone to help remember this magical moment in their lives. Portrait artwork starts at $500. Special Collections will be presented to you at your appointment. Options for everyone to get what they want!

Are you able to work with special needs children?
We are very happy to work with children with special needs and will accommodate in any way we can. Please be aware that our camera room is up two small flights of stairs.

What type of investment should I be expecting to make?
Once Upon a StoryBook Studio produces exquisite Fine Portrait Art meant to last generations. Children who see themselves in beautiful portraits displayed on the wall at appropriate sizes have a stronger sense of well-being and importance. Every portrait from our studio is hand-touched by a Master Artist who creates vivid and magical portrait art pieces. Wall portrait artwork is finished on canvas. Small portrait artwork starts at $500. Most families choose a wall portrait and collection to remember this very special time - usually ranging from $1500-3500 depending how they’re looking to impact their child’s life.

Is the Reservation Fee per family or per child?
The Reservation Fee includes one child in the themed sets per immediate family. Each additional child is only $25.

Note**If you would like images of extended family, like a cousins picture for Grandma, we will happily book your two families back to back and at the end include a group shot at no additional charge. However, each family unit will need their own session

What is the normal turnaround time to expect artwork and images?
Artwork may take up to 4-6 weeks for completion. Digital images will be available for download upon the day of portrait art pickup.
