Why call this the "Truman" collar?

Truman was The Truman Collar founder's Bernese Mountain Dog who had a special gift for making people happy. His work as a therapy dog will be remembered by many.

Truman passed away in January 2004 from hemolytic anemia, an autoimmune disease, at the age of 4 1/2.

To honor his memory, The Truman Collar makes these collars and will donate 25% of sales from their website to fund research into this terrible disease.
