Description

Here is an elegant piece of numbered, handmade Danish-quality pewter made by Queen Art Pewter in Brooklyn, New York.

Forming the base of the Pewter Warming Dish is a round bowl 6.75 inches in diameter (without the handles) and 1.5 inches deep. You fill this bowl with hot water, and cover it with the convex lid with handles that match the base handles. In the center of the lid is a circular indentation 2.75 inches in diameter and one-quarter inch deep. Into the indentation, you put the small pitcher with lid that can contain milk, maple syrup, bearnaise sauce, or any other liquid. The hot water in the base ensures that the liquid in the pitcher on top is kept nice and warm all through the meal.

This Warming Dish is in excellent condition. It is a wonderful reminder of a by-gone era of elegant dining and beautiful craftsmanship.
