New England Tree Masters is offering a class for you to learn the correct way to prune the shrubs and trees in your yard. The class will be given at the Boxborough Community Center by a certified arborist from New England Tree Masters.

Pruning a tree is the selective removal of branches, and it is one of the best things you can do for your trees. The goal is to remove unwanted branches, improve the tree's structure, and direct new, healthy growth. Pruning a shrub is done to reduce the shrub's size or density, increase bloom time, and control its shape. A proper pruning is both an investment in the long-term health of your shrubs and trees and in the overall look and safety of your property.
