David Letterman is a tv host, comedian, writer, and producer known for his late night talk show of thirty three years starting with Late Night with David Letterman and ending with Late Show with David Letterman. His musical director and bandleader, Paul Shaffer, is a singer, composer, actor, author, comedian, and multi-instrumentalist. Besides being Letterman’s sidekick, Shaffer was in the original cast of SNL, The Blues Brothers 2000, This Is Spinal Tap and recently was the Skeleton in The Masked Singer. Letterman also hosted the Netflix series My Guest Needs No Introduction.
